All refurbished batteries are tested prior to going out the door to make sure the battery is fully charged when you need it most. In addition every battery comes with a full replacement guarantee. We have the option for 2, 4 or 6 month full replacement warranties.
How long does a refurbished battery last?
While there are a multitude of factors that influence a battery's lifespan, for the most part you can expect to see 6-18 months of consistent use on average. The lifespan of your battery is determined heavily on what grade you choose to purchase. Our B grades will get you back up on your feet for several months while our A+ are going to be more reliable long term. Revolt strives to maintain transparency regarding refurbished batteries and works hard to guarantee replacement should a battery fail earlier than expected.
What does the refurbishing process entail?
Not all batteries are quality candidates for refurbishing. Each battery that enters the Revolt system will go through a thorough inspection before going further in the process. Once a batteries viability is determined they will go through a multi-stage process:
Stage 1: Cell Inspection for shorts and damage.
Stage 2: Electrolyte Reconditioning.
Stage 3: Cleaning of plates and De-sulfating.
Stage 4: Charging & Testing
Stage 5: Outcome Determination
Batteries that make it through stage 5 are labeled and graded either A+, A, or B based on power output, battery type, battery size, as well as several other key parameters. Our grading procedures help you as a customer choose what battery you are most comfortable with. A new battery is always going to be the best option for a vehicle, however if you need a quick fix to an immediate problem, a refurbished battery is a great choice!

What causes my battery to fail?
It's important to note that Lead-Acid car batteries are one of the oldest surviving technologies that are still being used in the modern vehicle. That technology is over 20 years old! That being said, there are several factors that can impact your battery's performance. Here are some affecting factors:
Weather: Oklahoma is known for some of the most diverse weather in the mid-west. Unfortunately, that takes its toll on auto batteries. The extreme heat of summer can cause your battery to overheat and/or evaporate the acid in your batteries, exposing the lead plating. The extreme cold can freeze the acid in your battery lowering the amp output as well increasing the potential for damage to the internal components.
Frequency of Use: It is generally recommended to start your vehicle once a week and let the engine run for 15 minutes to keep your battery charge topped off. Batteries that sit for extended periods of time slowly drain. A battery that sits for a month or more may be unable to crank over your vehicle's engine.
Extended Run Times: If you work a job that requires you to spend long hours on the road, it may cause some premature aging. The excess heat can cause acid evaporation and plate deterioration.
Failing Alternator: When an alternator isn't putting off the correct voltage, it fails to charge your battery while driving. Failing alternators are by far one of the most common reasons a battery can fail. Often times when an alternator fails, a battery replacement is imminent. It is important to address failing alternators as soon as possible to prevent battery failure.
After Market Parts: Occasionally, after market parts, audio additions, or phantom drains can pull excess power from your battery causing it to fail before its expected time. It's important to note that any vehicle modifications can come at the cost of your alternator or battery's lifespan.
Deteriorating Components: Batteries don't last forever. Years of normal use may cause acid evaporation, lead plate deterioration, swelling, corrosion, and more. All these things are to be expected and shouldn't alarm you if you haven't replaced your battery in a few years. Sometimes its just time for the battery to retire!
When should I replace my battery?
Signs your battery may need to replaced: Swelling, corrosion, gas discharge, failure to crank, smells of rotten eggs.
If you suspect you may be having a battery issue, please feel free to stop into a Revolt location. Battery and Alternator tests are always free. We don't want you to spend money if you don't absolutely have to! In addition we can charge your battery at no cost. Stop in today and our team assist you in any way we can.
We pay cash for dead cores! Receive anywhere from $6-10 per auto core depending on its age.

Why sell to Revolt?
Lead-Acid batteries are considered to be a toxic substance and cannot be disposed of with your everyday garbage. For this reason the expense involved in recycling or disposing of them properly often results in batteries ending up in the landfill or a warehouse collecting dust without any proper recycling. Revolt helps keep lead acid batteries out of the landfill and on the road by restoring over 50% of all batteries that come through our doors! Bring your dead cores to any location and receive CASH.
Don't have the proper tools to remove and install a battery? Our crew is here to help! For just $10.99 we will have your car back on the road in just a few minutes. Skip the mechanic and have your battery installed at any Revolt location.
