This policy page refers to corporate policies in place for automotive battery purchases, alternative products may fall under other policies and protocols.
Store Policies:
GENERAL:
No warranty replacement without a customer account; warranties are stored under phone numbers, emails, and names. A receipt is not a guarantee of replacement.
Warranties are non-transferrable. Warranty replacements are only redeemable by the original purchaser. In the event you are purchasing a battery for another person, please use their phone number and information at time of purchase to guarantee a replacement. Batteries received secondhand or in a vehicle secondhand will not be valid for replacement. This includes vehicles bought at dealerships, vehicles bought in a private sale., or any other indirect purchase method (products not obtained via sale at storefront).
Accepted payments methods are cash, card, store credit, various forms of mobile/tap to pay, and business checks. Personal checks will be rejected.
A warranty cannot be used to receive a different size battery than the initial purchase unless the incorrect size was issued at the time of purchase.
Warranty Replacements are guaranteed under normal working conditions. Damaged batteries or vehicles, improper functioning vehicle systems, or aftermarket additions may void your warranty.
Your warranty may be voided at the time of purchase or upon request of replacement for the following reasons: Damaged/tampered battery decals, improper applications (aftermarket audio systems, improper size for a vehicle, non-vehicle application (except in the case of deep cycle used in marine or RV application), improperly functioning alternator, improper battery maintenance, damage or modification to the battery casing, etc.
All warranties are from original purchase date. Replacement requests post warranty expiration will not be honored. A warranty replacement does not start a new warranty period.
Restricted to one free replacement under warranty. Subsequent replacements will be subject to a prorated credit towards a new purchase. Prorated months only apply to auto batteries. Utility, motor cycle, and auxiliary batteries have no prorated months. New batteries follow their own prorated parameters. See prorate policies.
Service based charges are non-refundable and have no guarantee. This includes, installation, delivery, reconditioning service, and subsequent exchanges.
We must service in store customers first. This means that your installation may be declined, delayed, or interrupted. The install location must be in our parking lot, in front, and close to the store door. We reserve the right to refuse this service for concealed batteries or undisclosed reasons.
RECONDITIONED:
Reconditioned batteries have a 7 day return period. During which a customer may return a defective battery for a full refund or a Non defective battery for a restocking fee of $4.95. No refunds will be issued for purchases older than 7 days.
Refunds will be issued via the form of initial payment. If the initial form of payment is inactive, a refund will be issued as store credit.
Reconditioned batteries are limited in quantity. If a replacement in a given size is unavailable at a select location, we reserve the right to send you to a different storefront to receive your replacement, or offer an available substitute size. If neither of these options are available a customer can opt for a prorated refund or full store credit.
Consumer assumes all risk associated with purchasing a reconditioned battery. Revolt is not liable for any damage or cost incurred by the installation and/or use of a reconditioned battery in a vehicle.
Warranty claims are required to go through a load testing procedure before a replacement can be issued. If a battery tests good, no replacement can be issued. Revolt reserves the right to investigate why a battery may be failing before its expected time, and determine whether a warranty will be honored or not. If a customer requests multiple replacements within a warranty period, Revolt reserves the right to pause an active warranty until an alternator test can be performed.
First reconditioned battery replacement is always cost free. Subsequent replacements incur a $10 exchange free. Replacements prior to 7 days will not count against the first free replacement.
Reconditioned automotive batteries receive 3 months prorated in addition to their full replacement warranty. Prorated months are a discount program applied to your warranty if your reconditioned battery begins to fail outside of your warranty window. See prorate policies.
BATTERY CORES:
Core refunds are valid 30 days from purchase date.
A core return past the 30 day window will default to standard core payouts. See core policies.
NEW:
No refunds on new battery purchases. No exceptions.
New battery warranties are required to go through a charging / testing procedure. If a battery tests good following charging, no replacement can be issued. A battery must complete its full charging cycle before a replacement can be issued. Charging may take several hours depending on battery depletion level. Revolt reserves the right to hold the battery over night before issuing a replacement if the charging cycle has not been completed before store close.
During this charging cycle a customer may request a loaner reconditioned battery. A loaner must be returned in the condition it was issued in order to receive a replacement or to receive their charging battery back. A substitute size may be offered as the loaner as your battery completes its charging cycle. Loaners are limited in quantity and subject to store inventory, which means the request may be denied if available batteries cannot support the request.
GOLF CART:
GOLF CART batteries are formulated for GOLF CART use.
Any application outside of standard Gold Cart use will reduce your warranty by half. Reconditioned warranties will be reduced to 3 months and NEW warranties to 6 months. This includes scrubbers (unless a scrubber battery is purchased) lifts, and any other heavy equipment.
Lack of maintenance may void your warranty.
Reconditioned Golf Cart batteries generate more heat than new replacements. Because of this recon batteries need additional maintenance. Neglecting to top off the water levels with distilled water regularly may void your warranty.
PRORATE CREDIT:
If applicable, the credit is calculated as follows: (Remaining Warranty Months / Total Warranty Months) x Original Price.
Discount total is based on the initial purchase amount, not the replacement cost. However, the discount can be applied towards a higher grade replacement purchase (e.g. Customer is upgrading from a Grade B to Grade A battery) or a lower grade replacement purchase (e.g. Customer is downgrading from a Grade A to Grade B battery).
Additional products, accessories, and/or services from the initial purchase are not included in the prorate amount.
Prorated warranties are not a refund program. Discounts cannot be issued in any refund type, whether store credit, cash, or card. They must be used at time of purchase within the prorate period.
